IAN POTTER

Ian Potter is a Brooklyn-based Artist who prides himself on being a multi-disciplinary creator. In addition to his work as a production muralist at Colossal Media, Ian also has completed multiple private Mural commissions as well as fine art and illustrative work. He is also a professional Theatre and Film actor working in the city. This will be Ian's first art show in NYC and would like to thank Colossal for the opportunity and his wife Cat, for putting up with all the fumes :)

STATEMENT

My art is heavily inspired by my love for Sci-fi/Fantasy media. Whether it be Novels, Movies or Videogames, the stories, characters and environments these pieces create weave their way into my work. I am interested in melding classical painting techniques, with heightened color and of course a Sci-Fi subject matter. My piece "Explorer Above a Sea of Fog" is planned to be the first in a series of paintings along these lines.
